The Supervision Committee for Banks and Financial Institutions Subject to the Supervision of the Monetary and Credit Council

The Supervision Committee for Banks and Financial Institutions subject to the supervision of the Monetary and Credit Council was formed in accordance with the provisions of Article 7 of Decree No. 21 of 2011, amending the law regulating the work of the Central Bank of Syria and Basic Monetary System No. 23 of 2002. This committee aims to provide the required technical assistance and advice to the Monetary and Credit Council. The purpose is to enhance its ability to exercise its role in supporting the stability of the banking and financial sector and improving its performance. The committee carries out its tasks in the field of supervision, regulation and oversight at the overall level of the banking sector.
